This position is responsible for overseeing all customer and third party vendors in support of the operation of the BNSF Logistics Returns Center. Responsibilities will include overseeing vendor performance against standards and procedures in receiving, inventory control, shipping, and reverse logistics. This job requires continuous development and implementation of new business processes.

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:

Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, finance, etc. High School Diploma + equivalent to a four year college degree. 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience desired, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Shipping operations including ordering material, order picking, scheduling labor for kitting, packaging and labeling of outbound finished product, order manifesting, quality assurance, and transportation support including selection of service providers for transportation activities via over-the-road, air, rail, and sea.
  2. Monitor service providers to ensure that company and customer service requirements are being met by proactively addressing any service issues that arise.
  3. Receiving operations including coordination and verification of the setup and maintenance of PO'. Receiving operations including coordination and verification of the setup and maintenance of PO's, receipt verification, product stocking, and freight damage assessment.
  4. Manage all ordering, contracting, and payments to vendors that have been selected to supply material, labor, and transportation required to fulfill the PO's received.
  5. Prepares customer invoices for distribution. This requires management of all associated vendor invoices as well as the customer invoices in the Mercury Gate Transportation Management System to appropriately account for operational project activities across multiple time periods.
  6. Act as the Reverse Logistics liaison with the Finance and Carrier Management departments to assist with unbilled receivables, collections, and service provider audit.
  7. Prepares reports and records for review; evaluates current procedures; identifies and resolves operational problems; coordinates branch activities with interrelated activities of other departments (e.g. Finance) for optimum efficiency and economy; and ensures all company standards are met or exceeded.
  8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
