RT&T, a joint venture of InDyne, Inc. and Amentum Services, Inc. is the prime contractor to support the Atlantic Range Technical Support Services (ARTSS) for the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) headquartered in Patuxent River, MD, and with locations in Maryland, Virginia, and California.

ARTSS supports Atlantic Test Ranges (ATR) and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations (ATMO) in research and development, engineering, maintenance, operation, support of facilities, systems, and equipment in order to meet the engineering development and operational testing and fleet training missions for some of the world's premier systems. Our work with the U.S. Navy keeps the warfighter safe by testing systems before they are used in combat, and we are hiring personnel to support this important mission.

Background Information:

This full-time position serves as the Training Coordinator for the Atlantic Ranges & Targets (ART) Department at NAS Pax River in Patuxent River, Maryland. The ART Department provides airspace, real-time data acquisition, test management services, and land/sea/aerial target services to DoD and commercial test and evaluation (T&E) customers. The Training Coordinator will take the lead role in working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including ART leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define, design, develop, and document training to support mission execution and workforce development across the various Branches and Teams within the Department.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Mission Assurance Officer and Test Management to support training requirements delineated in the Mission Assurance Program
  • Develop common standards and initiatives for Divisions, Branches, and Teams to support the assessment and analysis of workforce development and training needs as well as aligning those needs with the mission and vision of ART
  • Act as designated lead for all training documentation and development activities
  • Work with ART leadership and management to document all education and training program planning, policies, procedures, practices, and logistics
  • Monitor the personnel matrix to ensure new hires receive and document required training assigned to the respective mission area(s)
  • Work with Branch Heads, Team Leads, and SMEs to ensure viable training plans are known, mapped, and available to the existing workforce and are used to assist in targeting training for new hires
  • When applicable, liaise with the NAVAIR U Colleges to ensure formal training and educational programs align with NAVAIR U expectations and can be tracked through Waypoints

Required Education, Experience, & Certifications/Licenses:

  • BA/BS Degree in business administration, technical management, or applicable program management field from an accredited college or university is required. Other applicable BA/BS degree fields will be considered as well.
  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar functions is required
  • In lieu of a BA/BS Degree, a High School diploma or equivalent GED and nine (9) years' work experience performing the stated or similar function or an Associate's Degree and seven (7) years' work experience performing the stated or similar functions
  • Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and successfully pass a drug screening test

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a United States Department of Defense issued Secret clearance

Work Conditions:

  • Most work performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Vision abilities needed to perform this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Some travel and occasional overtime may be required
