Quality Technician

Job Purpose

Our El Paso facility is looking for a Quality Technician to support our manufacturing operation.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities

Performs functions associated with quality control and quality assurance operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks and carrying out rework and quality assurance procedures related to production or operations

  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data to assist in assessing and documenting results of quality assurance and control processes
  • Determines and assists in developing methods and procedures for quality assurance and control
  • Performs Gage R&R studies and statistical analyses, reports metrics and provides training
  • Conducts internal quality system audits and in-process inspection as well as daily product audits at order fulfillment and shipping
  • Assists with CAPA investigations
  • Works with engineers in designing and conducting experiments
  • Communicates effectively with personnel from all departments, vendors, and customers as necessary
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Supervisor/Manager

Education and Experience

  • Associate's Degree, 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-1 years of related experience required
  • Quality Control experience in an electronics manufacturing environment preferred
  • Able to interpret Engineering drawings and other technical documents
  • Familiar with using calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, and microscopes
  • Familiar with creating NCMR's, first article inspection reports, device history records
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Good organization and documentation skills
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office / Google suite experience
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
