Job Description

The Comau Advanced Automation Solutions Business Unit (AAS) is focused in delivering Advanced Automation Solutions and Automation Products to the following businesses: Robotics including Wearables, Cognitive Automation and Digital Solutions, Warehouse/Fulfillment Automation & Logistics Systems and Solutions, Renewable Energy Automation Solutions (Solar, Hydrogen, Wind, etc.), and special customer driven projects in new industries

The employee will be responsible at a Global level for the definition of the AAS segment strategy related to the Logistic Automation, identification of the product and/or solution market opportunities, build the respective business cases, market requirements, target customer profiles, competitors benchmarking and eventual product marketing mix before industrialization.

The Product Manager - Logistic Automation will be effectively managing its products and solutions from the original idea to the sunsetting of the product/solution, responsible for product/solutions margins and profitability. As the main interface between Sales/Customer Management, business development, engineering and the technology office, the Product Manager is ensuring the creation of maximum customer value, maintained, and continuously improved over the entire solution lifecycle.

Main areas of responsibilities are:

  • Responsible for Strategy and roadmap creation for the defined products and solutions
  • Build business cases to support product initiatives with input from customer group and business development
  • Conduct market research and operationally performs market trend analysis in terms of Customer demand and competition offering on product and solutions
  • Translating customer needs into product requirements before starting and following the process of new product/solution developments, based on a thorough market analysis
  • Prioritizing the R&D backlog for its product/solution area and making sure that innovation input from the technology office is tested back with customers through business development.
  • Closely monitor the products and solutions delivered to the market, aiming to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Responsible for all aspects of assigned products from concept to actualization, including product testing, pricing, and anticipating demand.
  • Perform business development activities related to the Logistic, warehouse and fulfillment automation areas
  • Preparation of the documentation to present product briefings to external customers/partners/investors and to coach internal sales staff on products/solutions to improve sales success rate.

Qualifications

  • Education :
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering
    • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Previous experiences
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in the industry as a Solution Manager/Program Manager
    • Fulfillment Center / warehouse experience
    • Knowledge of software (e.g. WMS, Flow Simulation Tools, etc.) and hardware (e.g. conveyance systems, AS/RS, etc.) logistic automation equipment and tools
    • Knowledge of operational pain points, problematic areas and the current solutions using automation preferred
    • Experience in the planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Customer fulfillment centers warehouses, ideally with End User experience, however experience of automation systems integration in such environments can be considered.
    • Experience in supply chain industry
